Getting started

  • Do I need to be a Slack admin to install it?

    On most workspaces, any member can install Surveys directly. If yours requires admin approval, clicking Add to Slack sends a request to your Workspace Owner through Slackbot. Once they approve it, you finish the install. After that, anyone on the workspace can use Surveys.

Product

  • What question types can I ask?

    Six: free text, single-select, multi-select, NPS (1–10), yes/no, and a 5-point agree/disagree scale. Mix them within one survey.

  • Can I schedule recurring surveys?

    Yes. Weekly, monthly, or quarterly, on the days and time you set. Pause or end the recurrence whenever you like.

  • Where do I see the results?

    In the web dashboard. Each question gets its own chart, and you can export everything to CSV when you need the data offline.

Anonymity

  • Can responses be anonymous?

    Yes. Turn it on when you create the survey and Surveys stops attaching names to answers. The anonymity toggle is locked in once the survey is published.

Billing

  • How does the 30-day free trial work?

    Every workspace gets 30 days of full access, no credit card. After that, small teams (up to 10 people responding) stay on the free plan forever. Beyond that, a paid plan kicks in.

  • What happens when my team grows past 10 respondents?

    When 11 different people have responded to your surveys, your workspace moves to the paid plan. We tell you the moment it happens, so it is not a surprise. Anything already running keeps running.

  • Can I cancel anytime?

    Yes. Open the Surveys app Home tab in Slack and click Subscription. Paid features stay active through the cycle you already paid for. After that, small teams of 10 or fewer go back to the free plan and everything keeps working. Larger teams keep using Slack, but the web dashboard locks until you resubscribe.

  • Can I pay in EUR? What about VAT?

    Yes. We ask you once whether you are in the EU during the subscribe flow. EU workspaces are billed in EUR. Everyone else is billed in USD.

    If you are a business in the EU, add your VAT ID at checkout and we apply reverse charge. The invoice shows no VAT and your accountant handles it on your end.

Slack

  • Does Surveys work with Slack Enterprise Grid?

    Yes, with one detail to know. Surveys installs across every workspace in your Grid and the tool works in any of them. Subscriptions, though, are tied to the workspace where they are bought. Paid features unlock on that workspace only. If two workspaces in your Grid both have people running surveys and viewing results, each needs its own subscription. Talk to us if your Grid setup is unusual; we will work something out.

Data & security

  • How is my data stored?

    Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, only your workspace can see its own surveys, and the service is built to comply with EU data protection laws. We don’t sell or share survey data.
